During his working trip to the Republic of Buryatia, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on the implementation of the program for the development of Far Eastern cities. The main part of the discussion was devoted to the implementation of five master plans for the cities of the Far East: Chita, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Ulan-Ude agglomerations, Tynda and Severobaikalsk. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexei Chekunkov, governors of the Republic of Buryatia, the Trans-Baikal Territory, Sakhalin and Amur Regions, ministers of the Government of the Russian Federation and heads of Russian companies.
