Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Vitaly Altabaev spoke at the plenary session "Hospitality and Quality of Life: Tourism and Development of the Far East" at the Sustainable Tourism Development Forum "Travel!" in Kamchatka. The Governor of the region Vladimir Solodov, Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly of the region Irina Untilova, representatives of the tourism industry, the education sector, and investors also took part in it.
The Sustainable Tourism Development Forum "Travel!" is a traditional all-Russian business event that has been held since 2020 in Kamchatka during the “Beringia” Winter Festival. It has become the most important platform for discussing promising tourism in the Far East in the context of the federal agenda for the development of the industry.
In recent years, businesses have been actively investing in tourism in the Far East, in particular, in Kamchatka. The first reason is an objective response to the demand for Far Eastern tourism. The second is unprecedented measures of state support, federal and regional, tax breaks and administrative preferences in effect in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. Deputy Minister of the Russian Far East Development Vitaly Altabaev spoke about this in detail in his speech.
