A greenhouse complex with a capacity of over 1,800 tons of tomatoes and cucumbers per year will be built in Usinsk by a resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation

By 2027, a greenhouse complex owned by OOO TK “Usinsky”, a resident of the Russian Arctic Zone (AZRF), will open in the Komi Republic. The company will grow vegetables and seedlings, including cucumbers, tomatoes, and various types of lettuce. The complex's produce will be supplied to markets in Usinsk, Naryan-Mar, and adjacent areas. Investment in the project, under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), exceeds 1.5 billion rubles.

The project will create 58 jobs, supported by subsidized insurance premiums available to residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation. The facility will annually produce 570 tons of tomatoes, 1,250 tons of cucumbers, and 420,000 packages of lettuce.

According to Kirill Ignatiev, the company's CEO, the new greenhouse complex will support the region's agricultural production and provide local residents with fresh produce year-round. Some of the produce will be sold in neighboring regions, particularly the Nenets Autonomous District.
