The session "Demography: Key Concepts and New Solutions for the Development of the Far East" was held as part of the 10th Demographic Conference in Ulan-Ude. Experts, representatives of government bodies, the scientific community and public organizations gathered to discuss modern challenges and opportunities in the field of demographic policy. The event is organized by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, and the Government of the Republic of Buryatia. The session, organized by the ANO “National Priorities”, presented key ideas and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of residents of the Far East, strengthening the institution of the family, supporting the birth rate and increasing life expectancy. The participants discussed best practices, new tools and interdepartmental approaches to form an effective policy for the development of the macroregion. New national projects, their contribution to solving demographic problems and approaches to implementing communications considering such factors as family values, birth rate, healthy lifestyle, education and infrastructure for life were considered.
