The BAM History Park, a city master plan project and winner of a federal improvement competition, opened in Severobaikalsk

The Baikal-Amur Mainline History Park, an open-air museum space accessible to all residents and visitors, has opened in Severobaikalsk (Republic of Buryatia). The facility was created as part of the Severobaikalsk development master plan, funded by a 150-million-ruble federal grant awarded after winning a competition for the best projects to create a comfortable urban environment for municipalities in the Far East. The competition was held at the request of the President of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

The BAM History Park covers 1.5 hectares and is a multifunctional space combining historical exhibits and recreational areas. The project's core concept is "paths," symbolically connecting the urban space with the history of the highway's construction. The park features themed installations, archival photographs, information boards, and a display of railway and automobile equipment used in the BAM construction. The park is equipped with modern leisure infrastructure, including pedestrian paths, pavilions, a stage, and a children's playground.
