New participants will appear in the “Priority 2030. Far East” program

In the Far Eastern Federal District, a competition among universities vying for the status of a candidate for participation in the joint program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia “Priority 2030. Far East” is ending. After being selected for the program, candidate universities will participate in a competition to receive federal grants. The winners will be able to modernize their material and technical base and qualitatively strengthen educational programs with government support. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) provides organizational and methodological assistance to the competition. The program for transforming higher education “Priority 2030” started in April 2021 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Later, in order to accelerate the development of the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and solve regional personnel, scientific, technical and social problems, a separate Far Eastern direction was highlighted in the project. Today, universities participating in the Priority 2030. Far East program are opening new research laboratories, launching unique educational programs taking into account the specifics and needs of the region, creating consortia with the participation of industrial partners, and introducing modular and network forms of education into the educational process.
