Improvements to the Neryungri Cultural Park have been completed with funding from a federal grant

In the city of Neryungri in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the improvement of the Cultural Park, a new public space in the city center, has been completed. The project was developed by the Siberian Urbanism Laboratory and implemented with 150 million rubles in federal funds following its victory in the 2nd Competition for the Best Projects to Create a Comfortable Urban Environment for the Regions of the Far East. The competition is being held at the request of the President of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

The cultural park is located at the intersection of Druzhby Narodov Avenue and Lenin Avenue, next to the Alexander Pushkin Center for Culture and Spirituality and the city square. It is part of a unified system of public event spaces. The area is organized as a multifunctional zone for various forms of recreation. The northern part of the complex has been converted into a quiet area with monuments, pedestrian paths, and corridors, complemented by art installations featuring lines from local artists. At the entrance to the Cultural and Drama Center, an exhibition space has been created for Neryungri artists, along with information boards detailing the repertoire of creative groups and illuminated art installations.

"The cultural park is truly a jewel of our city, its calling card brought to life. Today, the city center boasts a beautiful park area that attracts the attention of all residents and will delight the eyes and bring pleasure to Neryungri residents for a long time to come," noted Neryungri Mayor Ilya Gudoshnik.
