In the Far East, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the implementation of 22 long-term plans for the socio-economic development of cities and agglomerations continues. A large-scale project to renovate key settlements in the macro region will improve the quality of life of people, create new jobs and provide additional opportunities for self-realization for residents, and reveal the unique tourism advantages of the constituent entities of the Far Eastern Federal District. The work is being carried out with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC), federal ministries and departments, and regional authorities. In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), activities to implement master plans are taking place in the cities of Neryungri and Yakutsk. Among the important tasks is the renovation of the Neryungri Central Hospital. The facilities of the medical institution will be repaired and equipped with new equipment as part of the “Unified Subsidy” program. The city of Neryungri is a center for the extraction and processing of natural resources and a stronghold ensuring the sustainable development of the territory of the Republic.
