The “Octopus Pathway”, a unique 6.2-kilometer-long walking route connecting the picturesque Kozina, Otrada, and Prozrachnaya bays, has opened in the city of Nakhodka in Primorsky Region. The eco-trail will accommodate up to 70,000 people annually. The project was created under the “Far East Paths” program, funded by the Presidential Far Eastern Unified Subsidy of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, with support from the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).
The route includes terrain cures, ascents and descents, stairs, viewing platforms, and boardwalks, making it accessible not only to experienced hikers but also to families with children and older adults. The pathway offers panoramic views of Askold Island, Khrustalny Waterfall, and Dragon Rock. There are over 20 viewpoints, and information boards, signs, and observation towers are located along the entire route.
