The role of universities in the development of the Russian Arctic was determined in Murmansk

A strategic session “The role of universities in solving the problems of development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation” was held in Murmansk. Representatives of federal and regional authorities, large companies, as well as rectors of Arctic and Far Eastern universities discussed issues of transforming the higher education system in the macroregion. As part of the strategic session, working groups were formed, which included representatives of universities and industrial companies. Working groups will prepare proposals aimed at developing science and higher education in the Arctic, increasing the role of universities in solving the main problems of development of the Arctic zone, as well as mechanisms for cooperation between universities and business.
