The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation discussed the priorities of economic cooperation between the Far Eastern Federal District and Northeast China

On April 24, the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East hosted a meeting of the Russian part of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Cooperation and Development of the Russian Far East and the Northeast of the People's Republic of China.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of cooperation in trade and economics, transport and logistics, industrial and technological spheres, as well as in agriculture and tourism, with the aim of including these issues on the agenda of the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission, which will be held on May 16 in Harbin.

Also, on April 24, a meeting was held at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation between Vitaly Altabaev, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, and Liu Jun, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation. The parties discussed the progress of preparations for the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Cooperation and Development of the Russian Far East and Northeast China.

Both events took place ahead of the 3rd Business Council meeting on May 16 in Harbin, as part of the Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation and Development of the Russian Far East and the Northeast of the People's Republic of China. Furthermore, the 10th Russian-Chinese Expo, a key event for advancing cooperation between the two countries, will also be held in Harbin from May 17-21.
