An ITCM project office has opened in Khabarovsk to improve the quality of school education in the Far Eastern Federal District

The education meeting began today with the signing of agreements to establish a project office of the V.S. Lednev Institute of Teaching Content and Methods (ITCM) in the Far Eastern Federal District. The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) will actively participate in the project office's work.

The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Olga Koludarova, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation; Gasan Gasanbalaev, Deputy Director General of the FEDC; Maxim Kostenko, Head of the ITCM; and Alexey Mokrushin, Minister of Education and Science of the Khabarovsk Region. Representatives from all regions of the Far East, including heads of relevant government agencies and education departments, also signed the agreement.

The ITCM project office is being established in accordance with the instructions of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, issued following the strategic session on the development of the Far East in December 2025. The project is being implemented by the Russian Ministry of Education, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, and the Russian Ministry of Finance, together with the FEDC and regions of the Far East. The project office's key objective is to improve the accessibility and quality of education, particularly in hard-to-reach areas, through the implementation of modern pedagogical solutions, the development of human resources, and the development of systemic analytics in education management.
