In the Far Eastern Federal District, new “Far Eastern Yards” are opening in the format of a neighborhood festival

In the Far East, the opening of new landscaped areas near residential buildings under the “Far Eastern Yards” program is held in the format of neighborhood holidays. At such meetings, residents get to know each other, come up with ideas on how to use the new space more effectively, and jointly create a cozy and friendly atmosphere. In the summer of 2025, such “Neighbors' Days” were held in the Primorsky, Khabarovsky, Kamchatsky, Zabaikalsky Regions, in Yakutia, Buryatia, Sakhalin, and in the Magadan and Amur Regions. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) prepared methodological recommendations for the implementation of the “Far Eastern Yards” program and the holding of “Neighbors' Days” in the Far Eastern Federal District regions.

The special feature of the holidays is their flexible program, which is put together by the residents themselves. In order for the new courtyard areas to truly become a favorite place for recreation, their content - be it a music concert, sports competitions for children, an evening film screening or a creative workshop - is chosen by the neighbors themselves, voting for the most interesting activities.
