"The creation of modern workshops in colleges in the Far East is a systematic effort that is changing the approach to training. Young professionals should come to production prepared to work with modern equipment and master all necessary production processes, technologies, and computer programs. This is the norm required by today's economy. We see how federal support is helping regions develop strong vocational schools that will provide Far Eastern businesses with qualified personnel," noted Grigory Smolyak.
The Buryat College of Technology and Forestry is one of the region's leading vocational educational institutions, training specialists for the construction and road construction, housing and utilities, and forestry and woodworking industries. Currently, it has over 1,400 students enrolled, and a faculty of 65 specialists. The college trains personnel in 12 specialties and actively collaborates with the region's largest enterprises and agencies.
