Modern workshops for training personnel in the forestry, construction, and aviation industries have opened in Buryatia

In the Republic of Buryatia, the upgrade of the material and technical infrastructure of secondary vocational education institutions continues. Using funds from the Unified Presidential Subsidy and the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, modern training workshops are being created at the republic's colleges and technical schools. In the new academic year, educational and production facilities opened at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Technical School and the Buryat College of Technology and Forestry. Grigory Smolyak, Director of the Department of Social Development at the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, inspected their work.

"The creation of modern workshops in colleges in the Far East is a systematic effort that is changing the approach to training. Young professionals should come to production prepared to work with modern equipment and master all necessary production processes, technologies, and computer programs. This is the norm required by today's economy. We see how federal support is helping regions develop strong vocational schools that will provide Far Eastern businesses with qualified personnel," noted Grigory Smolyak.

The Buryat College of Technology and Forestry is one of the region's leading vocational educational institutions, training specialists for the construction and road construction, housing and utilities, and forestry and woodworking industries. Currently, it has over 1,400 students enrolled, and a faculty of 65 specialists. The college trains personnel in 12 specialties and actively collaborates with the region's largest enterprises and agencies.
