Center for servicing small boats to appear in Magadan’s Nagaev Bay

During a working visit to the Magadan Region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev became acquainted with the implementation of an investment project to create a small boat service center and a marina in Magadan’s Nagaev Bay.

President of the Magadan Association of Fishermen and General Director of the Sea Wolf Group, Mikhail Kotov, reported that the project will contribute to the development of the service sector. The establishment of the marina will create 150 new jobs. The new tourist center will provide an incentive to urbanize the territory, develop recreational facilities - hotels, restaurants, shops, as well as the emergence of service and maintenance enterprises. The capacity of the new marina will be up to 90 ships. The area of the protected water area will be 1.8 hectares.

The project is being implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership. The co-investor, the Sea Wolf Group, plans to ensure the creation of enclosed public places. The government of the Magadan region intends to deal with the arrangement of hydraulic structures, infrastructure, and energy issues. “We need to raise two ships so that they do not interfere with the work of arranging a pier for small boats. A children’s entertainment zone has been provided in the area of the marina, a platform for amateur fishermen has been determined, and the sea facade will be continued. All this together creates interest for the tourism industry,” said Magadan Region Governor Sergei Nosov.
