PPP market participants discussed how to make infrastructure development in the Far East more efficient and reduce the burden on the budget

Alexey Tokar, Executive Director of Public-Private Partnership Projects (PPP) at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), participated in the first strategic forum, "Amur PPP 1.0: Concession – the Key to the Development of the Far East," as a speaker and moderator for several sessions. Held in Khabarovsk, the event brought together representatives of government, business, and the expert community to discuss practical aspects of applying PPP mechanisms in the macroregion's infrastructure development.

Participants discussed a wide range of issues, from the impact of the key interest rate on project financing to the need for legislative initiatives that could increase the region's investment attractiveness.

"My colleagues from Khabarovsk Region and I have documented all the proposals and ideas from today's forum participants, aimed at enabling us to implement projects that help build infrastructure in the Far East more efficiently and quickly, while reducing the financial burden on the state. I propose that my colleagues forward these legislative initiatives to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East, and Viktor Dmitrievich Kalashnikov of the Federation Council for use in legislative activities," Alexey Tokar concluded.
