The project to build energy-efficient homes in Chukotka has become the 1,000th resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) has registered the 1,000th resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF). This is an investment project to establish a modern “turnkey” production facility for the construction of energy-efficient low-rise wooden houses in the city of Bilibino, Chukotka Autonomous District.

Under the agreement with the FEDC, the new resident is investing 160.25 million rubles in the project, creating 24 jobs, including 16 high-productivity ones. The total announced investment by all residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation has exceeded 1.1 trillion rubles, and businesses are creating 33,700 jobs with government support. The production program includes the design and construction of up to seven wooden houses per year, using standard and custom designs, with a focus on energy efficiency, end-to-end quality control, and the use of fire- and bio-resistant materials. The company will offer a full range of services: from surveys and site-specific design to foundation, installation, finishing, security system installation, and waste removal. Production is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2026.
