Centers for military - sports training and patriotic education will open in May in 12 regions of the country

The co-chairs of the Russian Martial Arts Union (RSMA) - First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev - held a meeting with the heads of 12 regions in which, on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, pilot centers will be created for military - sports training and patriotic education.

A key role in the creation of centers for military sports training and patriotic education is assigned to the Russian Union of Martial Arts (RUMA), which unites 71 federations of various styles and areas of martial arts. More than 5 million people are engaged in RUMA sections.

Twelve regions have been selected to host centers for military sports training and patriotic education: Buryatia, Donetsk People's Republic, Kalmykia, Tatarstan, Chechen Republic, Khabarovsk Territory, Belgorod, Kemerovo, Pskov, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen regions and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
