The “Taiga Training” company received the status of a resident of the “Sakhalin” ASEZ to implement the project to create an aviation training and technical center. The enterprise will provide services for training and retraining pilots, storage and maintenance of small aircraft. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the first stage of the enterprise is planned to be put into operation in 2027, the investment volume is 176.5 million rubles, and 25 jobs will be created. “The island region with its rapidly developing industry and tourism industry vitally needs a strong aviation cluster to ensure uninterrupted operations of both manufacturing enterprises and local passenger service. We plan to develop the existing aviation business: to open our own training and technical center on Sakhalin,” commented Zakhar Khudenko, CEO of the management organization of JSC “Taiga Airlines”. The concept of the training and technical center for aviation activities includes servicing and repair of aircraft and helicopters, as well as training of pilots and technicians. The center will provide services both for students studying to become pilots and technicians, and for professional pilots and technicians who need additional training or service for their aircraft.
