The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the specialized developer "TSD Razvitie" signed an agreement during the Eastern Economic Forum to grant the company the status of a resident of the “Zabaikalye” Priority Development Area. The document was signed by FEDC General Director Nikolay Zapryagaev and "TSD Razvitie" General Director Evgeny Kunitsky.
As a resident of the priority development area, “TSD Razvitie” is implementing the project “International Residential Quarter of the urban-type settlement of Zabaikalsk”. It envisages the creation of more than 2.3 thousand new apartments with a total area of more than 140 thousand square meters to accommodate more than 4.5 thousand people. The total investment in the project is 17.7 billion rubles. The International Residential Quarter in Zabaikalsk is planned to be built within 5 years.
The project was developed taking into account the geographical location of the urban-type settlement of Zabaikalsk. Situated 127 km from the border of China and 46 km from the border of Mongolia, Zabaikalsk is an international automobile checkpoint. The layout of public spaces allows for the placement of offices of international companies. The commercial areas will be able to accommodate a modern conference center with a congress hall, exhibition centers, office premises, hotels, a shopping and entertainment center with a cinema, shops, cafes, fitness centers and much more. The project will provide a new level of comfort for residents of Zabaikalsk, expand the international checkpoint, and give a new impetus to the growth of entrepreneurial activity in the border area.
