At the Eastern Economic Forum, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the Primorsky Region Government, and “Rail Logistic” LLC signed a cooperation agreement to implement the project to create a new Transport and Logistics Center (TLC), “Khasan”, in Primorsky Region. The TLC is planned to operate as a "dry port" with distribution hub functions. Investment in the project will total 3.2 billion rubles. The project is expected to create 60 jobs.
The project envisions the creation of an international transport and logistics center focused on the processing, consolidation, and distribution of freight using rail transport. The design capacity of the “Khasan” TLC is up to 10 million tons of freight per year. The center will be designed to handle up to 868 containers per day, as well as receive and dispatch up to seven pairs of trains per day in each direction.
