Priority Development Areas and Free Port of Vladivostok: Investors and experts confirm the effectiveness of preferences for creating enterprises in the Far Eastern Federal District and integrating into the Asia-Pacific economic space

The territories of advanced development (ASEZ) and the free port of Vladivostok (FPV) have proven their effectiveness: residents call them a key factor in the success of their projects, and experts note that the development of economic regimes is the only way to accelerate economic growth in the Far East. Thanks to the constant improvement of government support measures and comprehensive project support by the Far East Development Corporation (FEDC), more than 2.8 thousand projects with an investment volume of about 9 trillion rubles are being implemented in the Far Eastern Federal District in the priority development areas and in the Free Port of Vladivostok, 285 thousand jobs are being created. Residents have launched 876 projects, invested more than 4 trillion rubles in the economy and created over 140 thousand jobs. State Duma Deputy, member of the State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Vladimir Novikov expressed the opinion that the ASEZ and FPV regimes work quite effectively both for newly opened enterprises and for those enterprises that are receiving their second and even third birth with the help of new investment projects for modernization and expansion. "I have heard many kind words about the FEDC from entrepreneurs who say that they are literally led by the hand, helping to open a business and assisting in its further development and operation. I am sure that if there were no such support, the number of residents of the preferential regimes ASEZ and FPV would be many times less. I know that this approach to organizing work with business comes from our Plenipotentiary Representative Yuri Petrovich Trutnev. I have attended his meetings more than once and I believe that this approach is absolutely correct. Residents receive land and infrastructure support without problems and red tape. This is a serious help for business, very significant. Agriculture, housing construction, logistics and port infrastructure, medicine - these areas, in my opinion, are developing more actively thanks to the ASEZ and FPV regimes.
