Over 150 thousand people received land under the “Hectare” program in the Far East

According to the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), 151,103 people received a "hectare" in the Far East, of which 35 thousand registered land plots as property or lease. The total area of ​​land provided in the Far East was 98 thousand hectares. The top three regions in terms of the number of plots taken under the program were Primorsky Region (40 thousand people), the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) (28.4 thousand people) and Sakhalin Region (20.8 thousand people). The most popular type of use for plots was housing construction - 53%, land is also taken for agriculture - 28%, entrepreneurship - 12% and the organization of recreational areas - 7%.

The “Hectare” program has been operating in the Far East since 2016, and since August 2021 it has been extended to the territory of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. According to the FEDC, 160,466 people have taken land in the Far East and the Arctic for free under the Hectare program, of which 151,103 people are in the Far East.
