Construction of the “Far Eastern Quarter” on Sakhalin will begin in the spring of 2024

In April, the first stone will be laid for the “Far Eastern Quarter” in Korsakov - a residential area with social facilities, retail space and the entire necessary infrastructure. The total construction area will be almost half a million square meters, the volume of investments will exceed 65 billion rubles. The discussion of the large-scale project took place at a meeting of the Council for Investment Activities chaired by the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko and with the participation of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The “Far Eastern Quarter” in Korsakov will become one of the largest construction projects in Sakhalin. The project will be implemented within the “Yuzhnaya” ASEZ. The “Samolet” group of companies will carry out the construction of the residential area. The first facilities will be commissioned by the end of next year, and by the end of 2028 it is planned to build at least 50 thousand square meters of housing. In total, 460 thousand square meters of modern housing will appear in the port city.
