A program of preferential housing loans has been launched in the Arctic zone of Russia

Young families, qualified specialists and land recipients under the “Hektar” program will be able to take out a mortgage loan to purchase housing in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation at an unprecedentedly low interest rate of 2% per annum. The corresponding decree of the Government of the Russian Federation was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The implementation of the “Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage” in the Russian Arctic is supported by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic (FEDC). A loan at 2 percent can be obtained by: • teachers and doctors who have worked in the Arctic zone of Russia for at least 5 years, • young spouses not older than 35 years, • single parents raising a child under the age of 18 inclusive, • people who received land plots under the “Hectare” program, • participants in regional labor mobility programs. A mortgage of up to 6 million rubles can be taken out to purchase housing in new buildings or on the secondary market - in rural settlements and single-industry towns, as well as for the purpose of building your own home. According to preliminary calculations, more than 7 thousand preferential mortgage loans will be issued in the Russian Arctic for the period until 2030.
