On September 24, 2026, the full-length animated film "Captain Nevelskoy and the Land of the Black Dragon," created by the Khabarovsk-based animation studio “Mechtalet”, will be released in Russian cinemas. This adventure film with fantasy elements is dedicated to the legendary Far East explorer Gennady Nevelskoy and inspired by the events of the first Amur expedition. The project was implemented with the support of the Cinema Fund, the Government of Khabarovsk Region, JSC “Prosveshcheniye”, “VEB.RF”, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). “Atmosfera Kino” is the film's distributor.
