The formation of a creative cluster within the master plan for the capital of Kamchatka will provide new impetus for business development in the region

Business development issues related to the implementation of master plans for cities in the Far East were discussed at a key session of the 6th Sustainable Development Forum in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. One of the key projects for Kamchatka Region is the formation of a creative cluster (arts cluster), which is expected to form new niches for entrepreneurship and strengthen the region's creative industries.

According to Kamchatstat, creative industries currently account for 4.9% of all enterprises in Kamchatka Region—965 organizations employing a combined total of approximately 5,800 people. The city's master plan provides for the development of specialized infrastructure and support measures for this sector. The art cluster project integrates the creative economy, education, and museums and is being implemented with regional and federal funding, support from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

Gasan Gasanbalaev, Deputy Director General for Social Development at the FEDC, emphasized the importance of the creative cluster's educational component. He stated that the School of Creative Industries will provide support to potential residents: the Russian Ministry of Culture allocated 69.08 million rubles for the purchase of equipment, 65.62 million of which came from the federal budget.
