The first e-sports tournament “CyberVostok” took place in the Far East

The first e-sports tournament “CyberVostok” took place in the Far East - the player on the panzer “Varyag” took first place. The final featured 15 players who scored the maximum number of points in 10 qualifying round bouts. In total, over 7,100 cybersportsmen took part in competitions in the “World of panzer” program (“Steel Hunter” mode). The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) organized the “CyberEast” tournament with the support of the Russian Ministry of Eastern Development, the Russian Ministry of Sports, the Russian Computer Sports Federation and the “Lesta Games” group of companies. A major e-sports event took place in the Far East on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The e-sports tournament was announced during the VIII Eastern Economic Forum. “World of panzer” takes players into a kaleidoscope of military action, where they compete in tactics and strategy, and learn to act together. Players have at their disposal more than 40 battle maps created based on real locations from the Second World War, and historically accurate equipment from 11 countries with a total of more than 700 units, from the legendary T-34 and IS to little-known vehicles recreated according to drawings from the mid-twentieth century.
