The new “Dusse-Alinsky” tunnel at BAM was completed
Specialists from the “Bamtonnelstroy-Most” Group of Companies completed the excavation of the new “Dusse-Alinsky” tunnel with a length of 1824 meters.
“You are now carrying out one of the most important works in the country - expanding the infrastructure of the Eastern railway range. This task is connected not only with the development of transport and logistics. The economy and development of our Motherland directly depends on the effectiveness of solving this problem. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has been instructed to implement the third stage of development of the Eastern range and reach a transportation volume of 255 million tons after 2030. I wish you success in this great work,” said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
The new “Dusse-Alinsky” tunnel is being built parallel to the existing one, built back in 1982. This is one of the most complex and important objects within the framework of the modernization of the Eastern polygon, which will increase the capacity of the BAM to 25 pairs of trains, as in the Baikal tunnel, which will give an increase in freight turnover of 20-30% in this section.
