The heaviest column was installed at the construction site of the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant (NMFP)

The implementation of the Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant project has entered an active stage: equipment is being installed, excavation work is being completed, and the pace of construction and installation work is increasing. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the volume of private investment already made in the project is 65.9 billion rubles. After the launch of production, the plant will synthesize 1.8 million tons of methanol per year from natural gas. At the NMFP construction site, the second, heaviest column — low-pressure methanol concentration — was placed on the foundation. It weighs 490 tons and is 62 meters high. At the end of September, a ship with four columns for the methanol synthesis unit arrived at the port of Nakhodka. One of them, for stabilizing raw methanol, has already been installed at the site. "We have gained good momentum and for some types of work we are not just on schedule, but ahead of it. If we continue to follow the planned schedule, we will reach the design capacity on schedule. This means that more than 227 billion rubles of investment will flow into the Primorye economy by 2028. Of this, 48.2 billion rubles have already been invested," said Viktor Grebenyukov, Executive Director of NMFP.
