On the sidelines of the IX Eastern Economic Forum, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the “Lenin” Fishing Collective Farm (“V.I. Lenin” FС) signed a cooperation agreement on the implementation of a major investment project. It is planned to replenish the fleet with new refrigerated vessels, as well as build high-performance plants for processing pollock and other types of fish. The document was signed by Kirill Kamenev, Deputy Director General of FEDC, and Sergei Tarusov, Chairman of the “V.I. Lenin” FC.
"We are implementing a fishing fleet development program within the framework of the investment quota mechanism and plan to build 2 refrigerated transport vessels at least 120 meters long and with a capacity of about 8 thousand tons each. In addition, 2 fish processing plants will be built. These projects will ensure a full cycle of catching and processing fish, as well as significantly expand production and provide the market with fresh, high-quality and affordable fish products,” commented Sergei Tarusov, Chairman of the “Lenin” Fishing Collective Farm.
According to the agreement, investments in the project to build refrigerated vessels will amount to about 14.5 billion rubles, and in the construction of fish processing plants – 3.28 billion rubles. About 350 jobs will be created at the enterprises.
