The session was organized by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), and the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia. The Eastern Economic Forum is organized by the “Roscongress” Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The central issues on the agenda were support for foreign businesses and joint projects, including high-tech ones, with Russian companies in the Russian Far East. Participants discussed specific support measures for Chinese investors operating or planning to operate in the Russian Far East. Emphasis was placed on the International Advanced Development Area (IADA), its specific features and legislative regulations, as well as prospects for promoting products under the "Made in FPV Far East" brand.
Kirill Kamenev, Deputy Director General for Investment Promotion at the FEDC, noted that the goal of the international priority development area, which was launched by decision of the President of Russia, is to stimulate the accelerated creation of production facilities in the Far Eastern Federal District and attract foreign investment into priority sectors for the country.
