Residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation have created and are developing multidisciplinary clinics for adults and children in the Republic of Karelia

“Sanis” and “Sanis Segezha” Medical Centers, residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), are implementing multidisciplinary medical clinic projects in the cities of Kostomuksha and Segezha in the Republic of Karelia under agreements with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). They have invested 12.1 million rubles, creating 56 jobs. Over the past three years, the clinics have served more than 28,500 residents.

The opening of new medical facilities has given residents of the two Karelian cities access to a wide range of high-quality medical services, from laboratory and functional diagnostics to specialist consultations. Medical care is provided to both adults and children, and the clinics have become family-friendly. Another area of focus is spa therapy in Kostomuksha.

"Government support in the form of tax incentives was one of the main factors influencing the decision to launch the project. Over the past three years, the medical center in Kostomuksha has evolved from providing only specialist consultations to a level of methods and technologies comparable to those in regional center clinics. In Segezha, the “Sanis” clinic is less than a year old, but it already offers outpatient services to doctors in over 12 specialties, and a phlebology department is about to launch," commented Mikhail Arkhipov, a representative of the “Sanis” medical centers.
