A resident of the Yakutia ASEZ began testing Russian-made winter tires in Arctic conditions

At the testing site of the North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) - a resident of the "Yakutia" ASEZ, the regular testing of products from the “Vershina” tire testing center has begun, the general customer of the tests is the “Cordiant” company (a domestic holding, one of the world's largest tire manufacturers). Tests are carried out in two stages on four snow and ice tracks specially prepared according to customer requirements. Moreover, tire running-in is carried out on natural, not artificial ice, which is important for research and improvement of tire characteristics in the climate of the Russian Arctic. The NEFU testing site, which has become a full-fledged replacement for foreign sites, is a resident of the Yakutia ASEZ. The investment project was implemented under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC, the volume of investments in the project amounted to about 70 million rubles. “The investor was provided with land plots with a total area of 72.5 hectares for rent and technical connection of the facilities to the water and electricity supply networks was ensured. The company also received tax benefits and administrative preferences provided for by the ASEZ regime,” said Dmitry Borisov, director of the FEDC “Yakutia”.
