A resident of the “Mikhailovsky” ASEZ has launched a 1.5-kilometer cable car as part of the development of the “Arsenyev” ski resort

The upper chairlift of the “Arsenyev” ski resort has been launched. Children from orphanages in Primorsky Region were among the first guests of the future complex. The largest ski resort in the Far East is being developed as part of the Arsenyev city master plan under the Far Eastern Concession program, utilizing tax breaks and preferences from the “Mikhailovsky” ASEZ, with support from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The total cost of the project is 9.6 billion rubles.

"Tourism in the Far East is showing steady positive momentum: in 2024, the region already welcomed 6.5 million visitors. Maintaining this trend and meeting growing demand requires modern infrastructure and, of course, high-quality service. This is our key objective. The “Arsenyev” ski resort, which is nearly 95% complete, fully meets these goals. Tourist attractions of this caliber become magnets for both travelers and residents of the region, and directly impact the region's tourism appeal. I am confident that the resort will drive development not only in Primorye, but also in the entire Far East," commented Anton Basansky, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East.

The all-season resort is designed to accommodate 2,700 visitors per day. In winter, ski slopes, a second cable car, and snowmaking systems will be operational. In summer, tourists will be able to ride ski lifts and hike along designated trails. By the start of the 2026-2027 ski season, restaurants, shops, a hotel, and other amenities will be built on the resort grounds.
