“We carried out the re-equipment of the factory without stopping the main production, which allowed us to increase the factory’s productivity without reducing the volume of finished products. Tax incentives and administrative preferences of the priority development area regime, support from the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), and support from the Government of Kamchatka Region made it possible to increase the economic efficiency of a large-scale investment project and implement it within the scheduled time frame,” said Alexey Voitov, CEO of the “Zoloto Kamchatki” group of companies (part of “Highland Gold”).
The project of JSC “Zoloto Kamchatki” for the technical re-equipment of the Aginsk gold extraction plant makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the region, promotes the growth of an industry that is important for the entire country, as well as related areas.
According to FEDC, today in Kamchatka, residents of the priority development area are implementing 148 projects with an investment volume of about 180 billion rubles, creating 14.2 thousand jobs. Business has actually invested more than 80 billion rubles, created 9.5 thousand jobs, 50 projects have already reached the operational stage.
