A resident of the Buryatia ASEZ will launch the largest data center in the Far East in the second half of 2024
In accordance with the agreement with the FEDC, the "Bitriver-B" company, a resident of the "Buryatia" ASEZ, plans to commission the largest in the Far East Data processing center (DPC) in the second half of 2024. The "Bitriver-B" company is part of the "BitRiver" Group of companies, the largest operator of data centers for energy-intensive computing in Eurasia. The design capacity of the Data center is 100 MW. To date, BitRiver's investments in the project exceed 1.4 billion rubles.
Construction of the data center at the "Buryatia" ASEZ began in 2022. Despite the inclusion of the company in the sanctions list of the US Treasury, "Bitriver" will implement a landmark investment project for the Far East and for all of Russia in 2024.
The new Data center will become an anchor enterprise around which an IT cluster of a new technological structure will be formed in the Republic of Buryatia in accordance with the goals of developing the digital economy of the Russian Federation. The company will employ about 120 highly qualified specialists. Particular attention will be paid to the implementation of the program for the training of young personnel for the high technology industry.
