“Bitriver-B” (part of the “BitRiver group” of companies, the largest data center operator in Russia), which is implementing a project to build a 100 MW data center in the “Buryatia” ASEZ, has begun supplying equipment to the facility. In the first batch - a power transformer with a capacity of 125,000 kVA 220/10 kV. The total number of devices for energy-intensive blockchain computing will be about 30,000. For import deliveries, an ASEZ resident applies a free customs zone (FCZ) procedure. The preference allows the investor to save money on customs payments when importing high-tech equipment. Under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, investments in the project amount to 900 million rubles. The commissioning of the project will take place in the first half of 2023.
