Resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok launched two vessels in Primorye

“Livadiyskiy Ship Repair and Building Plant” (Livadiyskiy SRBP), a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV), launched the cargo-passenger vessel “Aleksey Startsev” and the service and crew vessel “Mercury”. The ceremonial event took place as part of the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the enterprise and the 15th anniversary of joining the “DOBROFLOT” Group of Companies. The investment project is being implemented under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

The cargo-passenger vessel "Alexey Startsev" was laid down in 2023 by order of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of Primorsky Region. The new year-round vessel, with a capacity of 30 people and 3 cars, will transport cargo and passengers to Putyatin Island. The vessel can operate in ferry mode and has the ability to dock on an unequipped shore, the maximum voyage duration is up to 24 hours. The vessel's design was developed by the plant's own design bureau.

The construction of the service and crew vessel “Mercury” on the slipways of the “Livadiysky SRBP” began in 2022. The customer was the Kamchatka Directorate for Technical Support of Maritime Supervision. The vessel with a capacity of 10 people is designed to carry out environmental protection measures, environmental monitoring of water areas, perform hydrographic and survey work, as well as participate in search and rescue operations and other tasks. Mercury corresponds to the ice class Ice3, which allows it to independently overcome ice up to 0.7 meters thick. Cruising range is at least 900 miles.
