Ivekta Group is completing the construction of a multifunctional service center at km 1519 of the R-21 Kola federal highway close to Pechenga. By May 2022, customers of the center will be able to make use of gas stations and cafes, as well as the first high-speed electric refueling in the region, where car charging will only take 30-60 minutes. Motorists will be able to relax and pass the time in a cafe with northern cuisine. Under an agreement with the Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), investments in the project have so far amounted to 27.4 million rubles.

The Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) has participated in the Russian Energy Summit in Moscow.  “The development of distributed [power] generation in remote and isolated districts is an urgent state task. The main difficulty in resolving it lies in the presence of a significant number of stakeholders and the difference in expert opinions about the format of interaction between the state and businesses in implementing investment projects. As part of its activities, the FEDC proposed a comprehensive system to attract private financial and technological investments based on state support mechanisms, which was a compromise gained through many years of discussion in the professional community. This work was supported at all levels of the government, so the development of distributed [power] generation in remote and isolated districts will be an actual trend in the energy sector of the Far East and the Arctic in the long term,” said ESG expert Vasily Potemkin.
