A resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation is creating an electric power company in Vorkuta

“Vorkuta Energo” LLC, a new resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), is implementing a project to build a multi-profile electric power company under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The project is expected to involve an investment of approximately 145 million rubles and create over 120 jobs.

"Vorkuta Energo" CEO Nikita Kovalev notes that the company will offer not only specific power grid repair services but also comprehensive full-cycle services: surveys, facility design, construction and installation, commissioning, and the commissioning of reconstructed facilities and facilities following major construction—power lines, substations, and their infrastructure. They plan to complete five large scale contracts per year. The project is scheduled for completion by 2027.
