Individual entrepreneur Anna Frundina, a new resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), will build a comfortable two-story sports complex for training in water sports. The project will be put into operation in 2029. Under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the investor is investing 29.7 million rubles.
"Our complex will be the only sports center in Arkhangelsk with an "artificial wave". It is as fun as a water park, but the emphasis is on the sports component: in our club, everyone will be able to stand on a board and conquer their first wave - and do it at any time of the year, regardless of the weather conditions," said Anna Frundina. "The popularity of this sport is growing, and artificial waves play a key role in this. They make this exciting sport accessible to everyone, regardless of location and level of training."
The "artificial wave" technology will allow 400 people to learn surfing per month. The complex is designed for year-round training of athletes and introducing everyone interested to various types of surfing, holding competitions and researching water sports.
