"Fresh, locally grown produce is essential in the Arctic – it's higher quality and more affordable than produce imported from far away. Our company will annually produce 18 tons of leafy, herb, and salad greens and vegetables, 4 tons of potatoes and zucchini, and 2.6 tons of currants and honeysuckle," said Nadezhda Kireeva, the company's CEO.
"Agricultural projects in remote Arctic regions enhance the region's food security. The Arctic Zone's preferential treatment benefits assist entrepreneurs in implementing investment projects in any economic sector. FEDC together with regional authorities, comprehensively supports resident projects and provides the necessary support for the successful implementation of business ideas," noted Anastasia Zhuk, Director of the Arctic Zone's Investment Project Support Department.
