Republic of Yakutia (Sakha) – 104 years old

April 27th marks the birthday of Yakutia, the largest region of the Russian Federation (with an area of 3.1 million square meters—one-fifth of Russia's territory). We congratulate the Sakha people on this holiday and wish them all the best! We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the region currently offers three preferential business regimes: the “Yakutia” and “South Yakutia” Priority Development Areas (ASEZs), and the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.

Sergey Skaly, Deputy CEO for Investment Project Support at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), said, "Yakutia is a unique territory, a fusion of two macroregions: The Far East and the Arctic. Residents of the “Yakutia” and “South Yakutia” advanced development territories, as well as the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, are implementing 95 investment projects under agreements with the FEDC. Fifty enterprises have already been established, 274.22 billion rubles have been invested in the economy of the Republic of Yakutia (Sakha), and over 11,000 new jobs have been created in various sectors, from construction to agriculture."
