Far Eastern Federal District regions presented their health preservation programs at the Demographic Conference in Kamchatka

An extended meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the development of the Far Eastern Federal District's healthcare system was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky as part of the 11th All-Russian Conference "Demographic Development of the Far East." The group was chaired by the deputy heads of the Russian Ministry of Health and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East. Participants reviewed the implementation of regional health-preservation programs for the first five months of 2026 and presented future plans and proposals for improving relevant programs aimed at strengthening public health, disease prevention, and promoting healthy lifestyles. Representatives from all 11 constituent entities of the Far Eastern Federal District participated in the session.

Experts from the Russian Ministry of Health, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, relevant scientific organizations, and the medical community participated in the discussion. The specialists assessed the programs being implemented, presented recommendations for their improvement, and identified additional mechanisms for increasing the effectiveness of public health efforts.

Following the meeting, participants agreed to consider expert recommendations and best regional practices when adjusting existing health-preservation programs.
