The development of the system of secondary vocational and higher education was discussed in Kamchatka Region
In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited the Kamchatka Polytechnic College. On the basis of this technical school, an educational and production center for training personnel for the mining industry was created in 2022 as part of the federal project “Professionalism”.
The initiator of the project was the “Bystrinskaya” Mining Company. The center united regional technical schools (polytechnic, manufacturing, industrial, agricultural) into a cluster. Specialists are trained here in the following programs: welder; master of repair and maintenance of automobiles, engines, systems and components of automobiles; crane operator; driver of road and construction machines.
During his visit to the technical school, Yuri Trutnev discussed with the leadership of the region, educational institutions and business representatives the issues of developing the system of secondary vocational and higher education in the Kamchatka Region.
