The expansion of the “ectare” program, increasing land availability, and support for large families and SMO participants were discussed at an interregional conference

An interregional conference is being held in Khabarovsk, dedicated to key issues in the development of land and property relations in the constituent entities of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The event was organized by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, with the support of the Khabarovsk Region government.

Representatives of federal and regional government agencies, experts, and development institutions discussed the implementation of the “Hectare” program, the provision of land plots (or monetary compensation) to large families and veterans of the SMO, and increasing the investment attractiveness of land in priority development areas.

The “Hectare” program is being implemented in 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District and 8 regions of the Arctic. People are acquiring land for farming, entrepreneurship, and housing construction. Yulia Tishchenko, Director of the Far Eastern Development Committee's Hectare Program Implementation Department, presented the program's statistics and innovations:

"Currently, more than 165,000 citizens have already taken up 'hectares.' Interest in participating in the program is steadily growing—in the first 10 months of 2025, we received as many applications as in the entire previous year. We expect that by the end of the year, the number of recipients will increase by 20% compared to the previous year."
