Yuri Trutnev began his working trip to Karelia with an inspection of production sites

During a working trip to the Republic of Karelia, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited production sites in Petrozavodsk. On March 21, the Deputy Prime Minister was acquainted with the work of the “Onega Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Plant”. The production capacity of the enterprise allows the construction and repair of ships with a dock weight of up to 2.3 thousand tons, a length of up to 140 m and a width of up to 16.5 meters. “The plant’s products are in demand in the Far East, where today more than 70% of all Russian fish products are produced. The Far East needs new crab catchers and vessels serving crab catchers,” Yuri Trutnev said during a visit to the enterprise. On the same day, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the “EFER” Fire Robotics Engineering Center”, which develops fire protection projects for various industrial and civil facilities and produces the most modern high-tech firefighting equipment. Today Karelia is the site of implementation of 67 projects by residents of the Arctic zone with an investment volume of about 98 billion rubles and the creation of more than 2.4 thousand new jobs. The “Hectare in the Arctic” program is also being actively implemented here.
