The Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov made a working trip to Norilsk. This industrial center is implementing a comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of the city, aimed at improving the quality of life of northerners. The head of the Ministry inspected industrial facilities and city infrastructure, and also took part in the opening of a new ice arena and handed over the keys to specialists who received new housing.
The main directions of city renovation are housing construction, improvement of the industrial center, and implementation of other projects aimed at improving the quality of life of Norilsk residents. The volume of financing for the large-scale program for the period from 2021 to 2035 is 120 billion rubles, of which Norilsk Nickel funds - 81.3 billion rubles.
At the Nadezhdinsk Metallurgical Plant of PJSC “MMC Norilsk Nickel”, the minister was acquainted with the work of the Operations Center, which provides round-the-clock management of logistics and production activities.
