A resident of the “Yakutia” ASEZ will launch production of high-strength pipes for utility networks in 2026

“ArcticPlast” company, a resident of the “Yakutia” ASEZ, will build a polyethylene pipe plant with a capacity of up to 7,000 tons of finished products per year. The project aims to provide the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) with efficient and reliable heating, water, gas, and sewer networks. Under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the investor is investing 52.1 million rubles, creating eight jobs.

"We plan to begin production in August 2026. Localizing production in Yakutsk will allow us to adapt our technologies to local climate conditions and produce frost-resistant pipes with increased strength. The products will be able to withstand temperatures as low as -60 degrees Celsius and will last for approximately 50 years without oxidation or decay. Polyethylene pipes can be used in the construction of water pipelines, gas pipelines, sewer and drainage systems, and irrigation systems," said Nikolai Gorokhov, CEO of “ArcticPlast” LLC.

As Nikolai Gorokhov noted, government support is a key factor in the project's success. "Being a resident of a priority development area provides a number of fundamental advantages, without which the project would be impossible to implement within the stated economic parameters and timeframe. In addition to tax incentives, we plan to take advantage of the free customs zone (FCZ) procedure for duty-free import of equipment and components, as well as connection to existing utility networks," he added.
